Under 11 Tigers win divisional shield
In an evenly contested Under 11 Divisional Shield Final, the Tigers just edged out East Lodge Mustangs by a 2-1 scoreline.
Harry Martin gave the Saints the lead with their first shot on goal after weathering a lot of East Lodge pressure, but before the break Jamie Bell of East Lodge levelled the scores with a shot across the goalkeeper.
In the second half, Ethan Williams gave the Tigers the lead again, and they even missed a penalty that could have made the game safe. East Lodge hit the post late on but the Tigers hung on to take the shield.
The jubilant team can be seen below along with the captain, Morgan Gardiner, lifting the trophy.
