Under 11 Lions rampant

The Crofton Saints U11 Lions continued their good form with a convincing 9-0 win over Waltham Wolves U11 Jets. The Jets were consistently pushed back, and had been forced to defend in numbers, but could not stop the rampant Lions attacks. Indeed, the Lions spurned a number of decent chances in the second half and the defeat could have been heavier. All credit to the Jets, they tried very hard to stem the tide in defence but only managed to threaten the Lions goal three or four times going forward – a goal well protected by solid performances from Joe O’Mahony, Benjamin Lolljowaheer and James Beadell. Sam Blythin, in the Lions goal, was a virtual spectator, but very sound when the Jets did get through.
